187 is one of the top Chanel factories in the market. Their nickname came from the first three digits of the serial sticker used in their bags at the time they became popular about four to five years ago. Their serial numbers no longer begin with 187. Their strengths include the CF line most notably their caviar Jumbo, which has the most accurate flap shape compared to the other top Chanel vendors. They are also known to produce the best distressed calfskin used for the Reissue and Gabrielle lines. 187 is expensive, and recently introduced two quality levels. Their top one is referred to as “Extreme” or “King” and ranges from $600-700 per bag, and purportedly is made using superior materials. They also raised prices on their normal quality bags and will charge more or less depending on the leather and hardware color, something other top-tier Chanel rep factories don't do. Further, their stock pictures are poor (i.e. bad lighting, taken at a distance, situated at odd angles, no close-ups of the interior, back, or hardware) and, until very recently, their Boy strap end shape was inaccurate. It may be difficult for your seller to secure one with the correct details, so be sure to keep that in mind before ordering. Pre-orders take four or more weeks to finish. They've made fantasy colors from time to time, so double-check before buying.
